Finally! She flies again. Well hopefully.

It has been over two long years since I last escaped this country.  You may recall that I returned home from my trip to Singapore and Australia in 2020 then BoJo locked us all up for the best part of two years.  I don't know about you, but it feels as if my life has been put on pause all this time.  Granted, we did have the opportunity to travel but I felt that I would have had to jump through so many hoops, be tested for this that and the other and then probably catch Covid before I even got the airport. So I didn't bother.  Now I am ready to go again but are now competing with airlines and airports who cannot cope with the numbers of people travelling and plus the threat of a tube and train strike whilst I am away.  It really does feel that the country is being dragged, screaming and kicking to hell and back.  Still it could be worse, I could be on a one-way trip to Rwanda courtesy of Pritti Patel!

I decided that as I loved Italy so much I would take a little trip to Sicily.  Needless to say as soon as I booked my flights my life, once again, took me and put me on a completely different path. I really do think the Universe, has at times, a skewed sense of humour.  However I decided nonetheless that I would have this holiday as it may be the last one I take for a while (yet again).  I am spinning quite a few plates at the moment and the holiday has not been one of them. Yet, here we are writing a blog to get me in the mood for this trip.  I know as soon as the big day comes around all will be well and I will get myself to the airport and the excitement will kick in.

So rest assured I am sure I will find something interesting to blog about and if that fails, there will always be some fabulous photos of Sicily.

As always, with my love.
